Week 1 – The Basics of Hot Yoga
A warm introduction to the studio in a partially heated room. We’ll begin to understand the basics of a hot yoga class, including breathing techniques, how to manage the heat, starting to understand basic terminology, phrases and verbal cues, and then get on your feet as we start to practice some common standing postures, including Warrior, and basic inversions such as Downward Facing Dog.
Week 2 – Introduction to BFree
Turning up the dial this week and feeling the heat of a regular hot class. We’ll recap the basics and explore further standing postures that will test your balance and your focus. We will also flow through some basic sun salutations and movements you may see in a BFree class.
Week 3 – Introduction to Sculpt
Time to have some fun with music! Firstly we will recap last week’s session and warm up with some sun salutations and then we’ll be picking up hand weights and incorporating them into our practice to give you a taste for our popular Sculpt class. We’ll have lots of fun today with time for water breaks and time to rest and ask questions. Not comfortable with weights? No problem! You’ll still get a great workout without them!
